TAIPEI DANGDAI

2025/05/08 - 2025/05/11
Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center
Dumonteil is thrilled to announce its participation in the 2024 Taipei Dangdai art fair, featuring works by Chinese artists Liane CHU and WENG Jijun, alongside French artists Vincent CAZENEUVE, Tess DUMON, Étienne-MARTIN, and Charles HASCOËT. Spanning painting, sculpture, and lacquer-based mixed media, this presentation highlights the profound diversity and interconnectedness of artistic expression.

We are particularly honored to introduce the sculptures of Étienne-Martin (1913–1995), one of the most significant French sculptors of the 20th century, to Taiwan for the first time. “Medal (Demeure-Miroir)” proposed here is from his most celebrated “Demeure” series. Since taking on the representation of his artistic legacy in 2022, DUMONTEIL has been dedicated to celebrating the originality, universality, and timelessness of his work through exhibitions across Europe and Asia.

Among the five contemporary artists, Vincent Cazeneuve and Liane Chu received enthusiastic responses at the previous edition of Taipei Dangdai. We are excited to return with their latest creations and to showcase the works of Tess Dumon, Charles Hascoët, Weng Jijun, and Étienne-Martin, anticipating how these distinctive voices will resonate with audiences in Taiwan.
