Henk van Rensbergen (Brussels, 1968) is a Boeing 787 pilot and a photographer.
He takes pleasure to explore the empty buildings of our times. His Abandoned Places photos show the silent beauty and the macabre decay of these places, sometimes revealing their secrets. Many consider Van Rensbergen as one of the founding fathers of the "urban exploration" movement.
In his latest book and project “No Man’s Land”, Van Rensbergen creates an imaginary anthropomorphic world where mankind has disappeared and only animals live in the world, showing undeniably human behavior.
His photographs and his original passion have been widely featured in numerous publications worldwide in newspaper, magazines and blogs. Belgian editor Lannoo has published a total of 6 books. His work has been featured in many exhibitions in Belgium, Netherlands and France.
